For Individuals
I offer high quality and individually tailored psychological assessment and psychological therapy.
I tend to work in an integrative way which is tailored to individual need, and this often incorporates elements of psychodynamic, cognitive analytic therapy and cognitive behaviour therapy models as these are the models I have learnt about and used the most.
I strongly believe that experience of damaged and difficult relationships lie at the heart of most psychological distress, whatever form this distress may take. I also believe that working on relationships, with the support of a therapist can go some way to helping people establish more healthy ways of engaging in relationships, thereby leading to a more fulfilling life experience.
I am confident and experienced in working with a wide range of psychological difficulties including...
- anxiety,
- depression (including post natal depression),
- complicated grief,
- trauma and abuse,
- self harm and suicidal ideation,
- eating difficulties,
- relationship difficulties,
- adjustment to chronic ill health,
- and work related stress.
Psychological therapy may be short, medium or long term depending on the needs identified and personal preference.
